KOWA (Gabriel Kowalik) is originally from Rome's coast in Italy, but his roots began in Poland.​
He relocated from Rome to Cracow in 2017 to focus fully on music, art and events, later spending significant time on light and mapping projects.
His sets are described as tightly crafted, high‑energy journeys that retain groove and subtlety, whether in intimate club settings or on large festival stages, and he emphasizes delivering his own sound rather than adapting to trends.​
As an artist he is an “individual voice” on Cracow’s scene, drawing from classic techno, IDM, electro, and experimental music, with an emphasis on hypnotic, driving rhythms and atmospheric detail. KOWA is associated with powerful yet refined club tracks, often combining dense low‑end, evolving synth work.
His catalogue includes EPs such as “Jack Herrer”, “No Time”, “The Great Chain Of Being” and the VA releases as “Bipolarity”, “Synapsa009” released mainly via techno labels.​
