PROZAK ON THE ROOF: CLOSE PROXIMITY

CLOSE PROXIMITY is a London-based duo formed by Frank Brady and Alexander Kelly (Demack), who launched the project in late 2024 by merging their individual solo work into a single, unified identity. Both are central to Volition — the London event series and record label that Brady founded and manages, with Kelly playing a key role in its ongoing development.

Their sound draws from progressive house, proto-house, trance, and techno, shaped by the euphoric energy of '90s electronic music. Citing Underworld as a key influence, the duo build their sets and productions around driving basslines, sweeping pad sequences, and harmonic layering — Brady typically anchoring the music in long chord and pad movements, while Kelly constructs melody and counterpoint on top.
Since launching, CLOSE PROXIMITY have placed releases on a string of respected imprints: Volition, Rotten City Records, Dischi Autunno (Jen Cardini), ITALO MODERNI (Barcelona), MINITEL (Paris), Second Sight (Pablo Bozzi), Notte Eterna (Emma B), Fka.m4a's CONTR4ST, and BELTERS4U. Their 'Pure Ascendance' EP on MINITEL (July 2025) drew praise for its Balearic-progressive feel, while their 2026 material on Second Sight and Notte Eterna has continued to broaden their reach.
